RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* EPIC experience required
* 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
* Mandatory on-call required 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts
* Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
* Will be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift
* Unit includes 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
* Treat low and high risk Labor & Delivery patients
* Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Required skills: use of external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulating for C-sections
* Unit systems include SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts
* Allscripts charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
* RTO must be submitted at time of submittal
* No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of an assignment
* Maximum of 3 days RTO per contract
* Must work most holidays; 1 holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed
* RTO cannot be changed once submitted unless canceling requested time off

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive labor and delivery center offering both low and high risk obstetric care with around-the-clock OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support. The unit is equipped with triage rooms, LDR rooms, operating rooms, a NICU, and post-partum care, supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, and unit secretaries.
