Opportunity:

LPN - Nursing

Job Details:

* Observe and report symptoms and conditions of residents
* Administer medications as prescribed by physician and give treatments as ordered
* Count narcotics and maintain accurate records
* Maintain records reflecting resident condition, medications, treatments, and progress
* Transcribe physician written and telephone orders
* Place drug orders and assist with completion of nursing history, assessments, MDS, and care plans
* Assist in orientation and supervision of nursing staff
* Perform direct resident care as necessary
* Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when necessary
* Prepare and coordinate CNA assignments and directly supervise CNAs
* Responsible for calling MDs and booking tests, labs, x-rays, and medical appointments
* Assist MDs during rounds and prepare charts for MD signatures
* Check meal trays for accuracy
* Perform all treatments, assessments, resident admissions, and discharges as required
* Notify MD/NP and family members of any changes in resident status or treatment
* Responsible for documentation, nurses notes, and updating care plans
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 40 pounds
* Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours per day and move intermittently
* Current CPR/AED Certification required
* Must hold a current Massachusetts nursing license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
