RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts
* Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
* Minimum 3 years of oncology experience required, Med/Surg Oncology preferred
* 2 years of outpatient oncology experience preferred
* California RN license required (must be in hand)
* BSN required
* Travel experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, OCN, ONS/ONCC
* Telephone triage nursing experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Ability to float to other facilities required
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and oral chemotherapy
* Provide symptom management including nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, constipation/diarrhea, and edema
* Perform pre- and post-operative surgical oncology care, wound and drain management, and tracheostomy care
* Utilize specialized equipment including flexible laryngoscopes, tracheostomy supplies, suction equipment, wound care supplies, and emergency airway equipment
* Support multidisciplinary care coordination including radiation and surgical oncology teams
* Provide patient and family education and support, including survivorship care
* Participate in clinical trial coordination and nutritional and supportive care management
* Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
