RN - Relief (Multi-Unit)

Job Details:

* Work across multiple inpatient units including ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, Rehab, ED Holding, and ACLS Transport roles
* ICU patient ratio 1:2 based on acuity
* PCU and CCU patient ratio 1:4 depending on acuity
* Medical and Surgical patient ratio 1:5
* Rehab unit operates on a 2:8 team model (RN, LPN, Tech)
* ED Holding is a fast-paced unit requiring flexibility and resourcefulness; ICU patients 1:2, PCU 1:4, MS 1:5
* ACLS Transport RN will transport patients throughout the entire hospital including inpatient units, ED, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACU, and Cath Lab
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required for ICU positions
* Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required for PCU positions
* Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required for Med-Surg positions
* First-time travelers accepted
* ICU required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* PCU required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Med-Surg required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* EPIC EMR experience required
* ICU skills required: cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, ostomy, general drains, trachs
* PCU skills required: cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, lumbar drains, trachs, IV med titration (Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, non-DKA insulin, heparin, and sometimes Cardene)
* Med-Surg skills required: IVs, PCAs, chest tubes, drains, ostomies, IV antibiotics
* Strong communication and patient teaching/education skills required
* Traveler Telemetry Competency required
* Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
* May float within scope of practice for partial shifts
* Scrubs must be any color except camouflage and must look professional
* No phones permitted on the unit; breaks are required
* 2 days of hospital orientation followed by 1 day on assigned unit

This is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds offering a wide range of inpatient services across multiple specialized units including ICU, CVICU, PCU, CCU, Medical, Surgical, Inpatient Rehab, and ED Holding. The facility provides 24/7 support from respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists, ensuring comprehensive care for a diverse patient population.
