Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 hour shifts, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
* Floating to sister facilities required; may be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
* BLS not required
* Travel experience required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; guaranteed hours apply accordingly
* No more than 2 callouts permitted without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Expected to work holidays if not included in approved time off requests
* Will be assigned to Inclement Weather Team A or B per management expectations
* Skills required include: aseptic technique, biological and chemical indicators, high-level disinfection, steam sterilization, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, use of washers/sterilizers, and case cart management
* Experience with specialty areas including Robotics, Ortho/Totals, Neuro/Cranial, Laparoscopic, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, and Transplant preferred
* Serves patient age groups including infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It is a large, full-service academic medical institution offering a broad range of specialty services and surgical programs. The facility supports complex cases across multiple disciplines and maintains high standards of patient care across its various campuses and departments.
