Opportunity:

Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech

Job Details:

* Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* On-call required: 8-10 call shifts per month including weekend coverage
* Call rotation includes 10-12 shifts per month with weekend coverage
* 2 Cath Lab rooms
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Preferred experience in Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab and EP experience
* Required case experience: Pediatric/Adult Transplant, Right/Left Heart Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, and Valve Placement; IR experience (preferably pediatric) may also be required
* Patient diagnoses include congenital heart patients, heart cath procedures, pediatric/adult transplant, biopsy, balloon and stent procedures, and valve replacements
* Skills required: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult and Pediatric/Neonatal), Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association only), and either CCI with RCIS/RCES (preferred) or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R)
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and September

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 865 total staffed beds. The organization is equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases including pediatric and adult cardiac procedures, transplants, and interventional radiology. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting and maintains high standards of patient care across its departments. Parking is available with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass, applicable on nights and weekends only.
