Open Position: RN - PICU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2234.80

Opportunity:

Pediatric Critical Care float pool RN

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
* Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
* Float pool position with no home unit - will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU within scope to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as guaranteed hours policy
* Block scheduling available with manager approval based on unit needs
* 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
* Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
* ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
* Required skills include: Anti-Seizure Medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, care/maintenance of acute airway, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, infection control/PPE, interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, management of dysrhythmias, pediatric dosage calculations, PICC line management, and PICU experience
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary

This facility is a specialized children's hospital offering comprehensive pediatric critical care services across multiple units including cardiovascular pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, and pediatric ICU. The facility maintains robust interdisciplinary support teams and adheres to high clinical standards, accepting only American Heart Association certifications.
