Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour per week scheduling requirement
* Night shift schedule available with option to work 3 consecutive night shifts
* Patient ratio is 1:4 ideally, currently running 1:5
* 29-bed Progressive Care Unit within the main hospital building
* Unit support includes unit clerks and patient care technicians
* Required equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, bladder scanner, and vein finder
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Must be familiar with cardiac drips and insulin drips
* Required certification: ACLS
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs, no artificial or gel nails
* Vital signs required every 4 hours or more frequently based on patient condition
* Blood glucose checks as ordered
* Required documentation and assessment every shift
* Float policy requires staff to float to areas within their competencies
* Must provide safe, high quality, and compassionate care
* Must work well in a team-oriented environment
* Staff self-schedule with flexibility for shift preferences

Facility:

This 354-bed facility is located near the Georgia-South Carolina border and is well known for housing the largest burn center in the country, seeing more than 3,000 patients annually. The facility also offers a Human Motion Institute, an emergency room recognized for the shortest wait times in the area, a Digestive Disease Center, a Pelvic Health Institute, and a Stroke Center. Staff members praise the facility's culture and the strong managerial support they receive.
