Opportunity:

RN - Vascular Access

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts
* Self-scheduling available
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Up to 6 weekend shifts per contract if able
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius required
* Vascular access experience at a pediatric hospital required
* Ultrasound-guided PIV placement experience required
* Inpatient experience preferred
* Emergency department experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* California RN license required
* BSN required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* Patients served include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Common patient diagnoses include respiratory, sepsis, cardiac, surgery, and trauma
* Specialized procedures include PICC line placement and ultrasound-guided PIV
* Sonosite equipment experience required
* Skills include central line management, PICC placement, ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, phlebotomy, vascular access troubleshooting, and parenteral nutrition management

Facility:

This facility is a large academic teaching hospital with 144 beds and a daily census of 107?115 patients. The unit specializes in vascular access procedures including PICC lines and ultrasound-guided PIV placement. Interdisciplinary support is available including interpretation services and unit secretaries, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for patient care.
