Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with 6:45 AM start times, with occasional float to 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM starts
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs each week
* Must work 3 night shifts per assignment
* Weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirements
* 13-week contract length
* Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Required case types (hard stops): General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics
* Must be able to circulate emergent craniotomy
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Unit consists of 41 ORs within a Level 1 Trauma Center
* Daily census ranges from 90 to 110 patients across 38 rooms
* Float may be required to other OR units within the same health system
* Required certifications: AHA BLS
* Colorado RN license or compact RN license required
* Helpful but not required: experience with CT, TX, burn, ortho, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular cases
* Preferred scrubbing experience with spine cases from a Level 1 Trauma Center
* Maximum of 10 approved RTO days per 13-week contract
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center operating a large surgical suite with 41 operating rooms that handle a wide range of procedures. The unit sees a high daily census of 90 to 110 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility is equipped to handle complex surgical cases across multiple specialties including general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, and GU/GYN, and values experienced OR professionals who can perform in a high-acuity environment.
