Opportunity:

Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends required
* Typical patient ratio of 1:4 with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies
* Block scheduling considered for weekend blocks only (Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon)
* Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Minimum 1.5?2+ years of experience required; 1 year MS/Tele and 2 years Stepdown experience preferred
* Must be able to read telemetry strips
* Unit cares for patients that may be Progressive Care or Tele level in a larger facility; acuity will vary
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics, primarily cardiac diagnoses including cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology procedures
* 36-bed unit with a daily census of 34
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Required skills: IV start, telemetry; Cerner EMR experience required
* Scrubs not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
* WV or Compact nursing license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
