Opportunity:

ICU RN - Float Pool

Job Details:

* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36-hour work week with 3 shifts per week based on operational need
* Schedule cycles of 4 weeks may alternate between day and night shifts depending on need
* Float pool position - not unit based; must have ability to float to all ICUs, TCUs, ED, and PACU across all UCSF campuses
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience required
* Variety in critical care experience preferred including med/surg, cardiac, and neuro
* Recent float pool, PACU, or emergency room experience preferred but not required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Minimum Trauma Level II experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Key clinical skills required include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, ICP monitoring, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of offer; requests submitted after contract is signed will not be considered
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submission
