RN PCU

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required; PCU/ICU experience of approximately 2 years requested for first-time travelers
* Weekend shifts required per unit needs, with every other to every third weekend based on facility needs
* Floating to med-surg floors and sister units within the region is required when needed
* Care for a mixed patient population including cardiac, minor trauma, respiratory, and mildly unstable hemodynamic patients
* All rooms are negative pressure capable and equipped with ceiling lifts
* Unit consists of 12 beds with a daily census of 10 patients
* Special equipment includes BiPAP, stable trached vents, A-lines, and Airvo
* Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, tracheostomy care, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and computerized documentation
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Colorado nursing license or compact license required and must be in hand
* No on-call requirements
* Adults-only patient population
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
