Opportunity:

RN BMT/ONC (10000205 - Cellular Therapies Unit)

Job Details:

* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* Weekend shifts required based on unit needs
* No on-call required
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4:1, with potential to flex up based on staffing and unit needs
* Float between BMT/Oncology and Cellular Therapies Unit (CTU) required, as well as potential float to sister facilities within the metro region based on facility needs
* Care for adult patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies including stem cell transplants and CAR-T on a 51-bed unit
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* Minimum 2 years of acute care BMT/Hematology experience required
* Chemotherapy administration experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), ONC certification, Colorado or Compact RN License
* Required skills include but are not limited to: administration of chemotherapy (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), CAR-T therapy, bone marrow administration, blood and blood product administration, central line care and blood draw, care and management of ports, stem cell therapies, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, neutropenic precautions, anaphylaxis response, sepsis management, and recognition and communication of abnormal lab values

Facility:

This large academic health system operates a specialized 51-bed oncology and cellular therapies unit dedicated to caring for patients with blood cancers. The facility provides advanced treatments including chemotherapy, biotherapies, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapies, supported by an interdisciplinary team. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes Epic as its electronic charting system across its network of facilities.
