Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Variable shifts throughout the week
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend per unit needs (subject to change)
* On-call required: 1 shift every 6 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* Patient ratio of 1:4 (1-2 labor, 3-4 postpartum)
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Float may be required to sister facilities within the North region per facility request and to like units within Women and Infants service line only
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, STABLE
* 36 orientation hours required
* Must be proficient in Labor & Delivery skills including but not limited to: fetal monitoring (internal and external), magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin/oxytocin administration, C-section circulation and recovery, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care, and vaginal delivery assistance
* Additional skills include: couplet care, antepartum care, breastfeeding/lactation support, newborn assessment, IV insertion and management, and triage of obstetrical patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
* Patient age groups served: Neonates and Adults
* Unit has 22 beds

This women's care facility provides comprehensive obstetrical and neonatal services within a well-supported healthcare system. The unit features a 22-bed capacity and offers a full spectrum of women's health services, from labor and delivery to postpartum care. The facility is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams to ensure exceptional patient care.

This position is located in the Northern region of the healthcare system's network of facilities.
