Opportunity:
Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* Work 4x9-hour shifts, Friday through Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required, 2 years preferred
* Required certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
* Charting system experience required; experience with any system accepted
* Must be proficient in cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
* Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) required
* Must be skilled in use of washers and sterilizers
* Experience with case cart management and proper selection of wrapping materials required
* Must be knowledgeable in sterilization wrapping procedures and sets/tray assembly
* Equipment documentation experience required
* Must have experience in specialties including Ear/Nose/Throat, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology
* Experience with biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing and monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) required
* Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submittal
* May be required to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
Facility:
This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC as its primary charting system. The facility maintains a fully equipped sterile processing department supporting a wide range of surgical specialties and provides comprehensive care to the surrounding community. The organization upholds high standards for sterile processing and equipment sterilization to ensure patient safety across all departments.
