Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

* Minimum 18 months of experience in Cath Lab specialty required; 2 years preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts; 40 hours for 8 or 10-hour shifts
* Call is required
* Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
* Will float within scope to meet facility needs
* Will float to all 3 sister facilities (within 20 miles of each other)
* Block scheduling is not available
* Local candidates accepted at same rate
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Charting system: EPIC
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS; RCVT and RCIS preferred
* Required skills include: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment Setup, Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Sterile Field Maintenance, Isolation Precautions/PPE, and Sterile Technique
* EKG and Pharmacy test required during orientation (2 attempts maximum for each; travelers will be cancelled if failed)
* Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized and completed prior to start

This short-term acute care facility operates across three hospital locations within a 20-mile radius, providing comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional cardiac services. The facility features 180 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC as its charting system. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and upholds a strict attendance and smoke-free environment policy.
