Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts with variable weekend scheduling required
* Clinician may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period (guaranteed hours policy)
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Float required to Postpartum unit
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Provide high-risk perinatal care in a Level III unit with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU, and 7-bay triage
* Staffing goals: 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, 1:2-3 in antepartum
* Triage staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift
* Work alongside interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Treat patient age groups including neonates and adults
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Scrub color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
* Parking: Facility paid
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring (all certifications are hard-stop requirements)
* Hard-stop requirement: Must have sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Ideally, candidates should have experience in facilities that handle 200+ deliveries; candidates with experience in facilities handling 100-200 deliveries will also be considered
Facility:
This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses. The position is located at the Pacific Campus, which serves as the Pavilion for Women and Children and offers comprehensive maternity services including a Level II NICU. The unit is supported by 2 surgical techs per shift, 3 CNAs per shift in postpartum, 3-4 delivering providers available 24/7, 2 CRNAs available 24/7, and 2 health unit coordinators available 24/7.
