Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Work in a Labor and Delivery unit with OBED stretchers, Antepartum beds, labor beds, LDOR rooms, and LD PACU bays
* Patient ratios: OBED 1:2-4 depending on acuity, APU 1:2-4 depending on acuity, LDU 1:1-2 depending on acuity
* 4 weekend shifts required per schedule period (over 4 weeks)
* Unit may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract depending on census
* Minimum 2 complete years of Labor and Delivery unit experience (off of orientation) required
* Perform sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, circulating Cesarean sections, and NSTs
* Manage Oxytocin induction/augmentation and Magnesium Sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection
* Perform insulin drip titration on occasion
* Must be proficient in Magnesium Sulfate drip management and Oxytocin management
* Work with equipment including bedside ultrasounds, dopplers, fetal monitors, infant warmers, OR equipment, labor beds, sterile vaginal tables, and glucometers
* Use EMR systems Meditech and GE CPN Centricity
* Floating area includes Antepartum Unit (APU)
* Dress code: Royal Blue scrub tops and bottoms
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP (AAP)
* Transition care nursing (TCN) of neonates is preferred but not required
* Flexible personality required
