Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Emergency department setting in a Level II trauma ED, certified chest pain center, and thrombectomy capable stroke center
* Patient ratio of 4:1 with a charge nurse who typically does not carry a patient assignment
* 27-bed emergency department unit
* EMR system: Meditech (DOS platform)
* Minimum 1 year of current ED hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENP? (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC), CPI Blue card
* CEN certification and/or Meditech experience preferred
* Experience working in a high-volume ED preferred
* Perform procedures typical of a Level II trauma ED including procedural sedation primarily with Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine
* Provide psych and at-risk patient care with important patient safety monitoring and focus
* Busy ED with a 30% admit rate, 10% low acuity patient volume, 20% ESI 2 patient volume, and 28% EMS rate
* Must be proactive and engaged with anticipating next steps in plan of care
* Must have exceptional patient engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
