Opportunity:

Cardiac Sonographer - Echo

Job Details:

* Work in a 7-room imaging department accommodating Echo procedures
* Perform structural heart scans including cardiac Echos, TEE, and Stress Tests
* Serve adult inpatient and outpatient population
* Average patient volume of 60-70 patients per day
* Weekend rotation required, discussed during interview and done in rotation with other staff
* Call rotation typically 1 night per week (preferred only)
* Holiday expectations considered part of weekend and call rotation (preferred only)
* 1-week orientation provided
* Floating within facility only
* Time off requires manager approval
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ARDMS
* CCI-RCS certification preferred
* Maine state licensure not required
* EMR system: Cerner
* Equipment: Philips
* Scrub color: Teal
* Free parking available

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center that receives air flights and serves two-thirds of the state, functioning as the closest trauma center within a 2-hour radius. It is also a Certified Stroke Center, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive, high-acuity patient care. The Echo department is supported by an Echo Supervisor, 6-9 additional sonographers, and a team of 7 Cardiologists, providing a well-staffed and collaborative environment.
