Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Varied start times available including 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM
* No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling may be allowed if it meets the needs of the unit
* One weeknight on-call rotation from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM per week
* One weekend on-call rotation of 24 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM per month
* Holiday call rotation as needed
* Call response time of 30 minutes required; must stay on-site if located more than 30 minutes away while on call
* Float to outpatient surgery as needed
* Work in a 9-suite OR facility with 1 procedure room and 1 hybrid room handling 35 to 45 cases per day
* Perform circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, ENT, eyes, orthopedics, robotics (DaVinci and Rosa), neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and pediatric dental and ENT cases
* Must have experience passing arms in and out for robotic procedures
* Night shift RNs must be comfortable working as the sole RN with 2 OR technicians
* Techs are responsible for room turnover; no aides or housekeeping support available
* Unit orientation consists of 3 shifts over 1 week
* Scrubs are provided for RNs and OR technicians
* 2 to 3 years of OR experience required along with 2 to 3 previous travel assignments
* Orthopedic experience required
* Must have experience with all surgical specialties for evening and night shifts
* Must have EPIC EMR experience
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred for RNs
* BSN not required
* Valid nursing license required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, featuring 9 operating rooms, a procedure room, and a hybrid room. The department handles a high volume of 35 to 45 cases daily across a broad range of specialties, including orthopedics, neuro spine, robotics, vascular, trauma, and pediatric procedures. The OR staff consists primarily of travel professionals, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment for experienced surgical team members.
