Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced emergency department setting
* Every 4th weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless unit is closed
* Float across all campuses as needed
* Patient types include behavioral health, pediatric, and adult patients
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* 18-bed unit
* Experience with drips including sedation and vasoactive required
* Experience reading, measuring, and interpreting telemetry strips required
* Experience caring for pediatric and adult patients required
* Behavioral health patient experience highly preferred
* Minimum 36 months of emergency department experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with minimum 36 months of ED experience
* Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
* EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
* Navy blue solid scrubs required
* Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
* Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department discipline required
* Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
