Job Details:

* 3 weekends (Friday through Sunday) per 4-week schedule required, with the possibility of being scheduled 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend
* Floating required, including to Pediatric ED if necessary
* No on-call responsibilities
* Patient ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:4-7, with the possibility of ratios up to 1:8 during high volume periods and holidays
* Daily census of 250 with 100 beds, including 48 adult and 14 pediatric private rooms
* Treat patients across all age groups including infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Level I Trauma Center experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* EPIC charting experience required
* Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
* Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience preferred
* Triage experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH
* ENPC preferred
* Michigan license must be active by start date; compact license not accepted
* Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and radiology

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and serves as a center of excellence for bariatric, stroke, and cardiac care. The emergency department features 4 resuscitation rooms and 62 private patient rooms, treating a wide range of injuries and conditions including major trauma, neuro, cardiac, pediatrics, and high-risk OB cases. The department utilizes a 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines to help expedite patient care. On-site resources include ER case management RNs, SANE RNs, and a ground Critical Care Transport team.
