Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
* 52-bed freestanding emergency department
* Patient ratios average 3:1, with low acuity ratios of 5:1 and pediatric team nursing model
* Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
* Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system
* Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
* Must scan patient and medications every time per unit policy
* Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience required
* Experience in traveling or experience at large facility areas required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC
* ENPC certification and Meditech experience preferred
* Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment and handle a diverse patient population

This freestanding emergency department is a 52-bed facility staffed by a dynamic and experienced team of healthcare professionals. The facility operates around the clock with dedicated staff including charge nurses, bedside nurses, technicians, unit clerks, physicians, and midlevel providers working together in a pod-based model. The unit prides itself on utilizing modern equipment and technology while maintaining a fast-paced, high-quality care environment for patients of all acuity levels, including pediatric cases.
