Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with high volume expectations of 30-40+ scans per shift
* Self-scheduling based on seniority
* Must be open to volunteering for shifts outside of contracted start times, including days and nights
* Must be available to work 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* Facility may call off once every two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Very high volume, fast-paced environment - must be able to work independently and efficiently
* May be asked to assist with patient transport based on staffing needs
* Community hospital experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Works primarily with ED patients with some outpatient cases; high volume primary stroke receiving center
* Equipment used: 1 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion scanner and 1 64-slice GE Lightspeed
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking available
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced, CA CRT, CT
* Required skills include: abdomen without and/or with contrast, chest without and/or with contrast, head without and/or with contrast, pelvis without and/or with contrast, vascular CTA, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and musculoskeletal trauma, among others

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 212 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services across a range of specialties. The facility features a very busy imaging department that primarily serves emergency department patients while also accommodating outpatient cases. The department operates as a high-volume primary stroke receiving center and is equipped with advanced CT scanning technology to support efficient and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
