Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required with 6-8 weekend shifts per contract
* No on-call required
* May float to Pediatrics unit as needed with support available
* Block schedule available at manager's discretion
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Self-scheduling type
* 12-hour orientation provided
* 29 rooms and 35 beds with a daily census of approximately 185 and 180 visits per day
* Patients include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* May be required to float to a sister facility
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrubs: any color
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (preferred), EDAP or ENPC (preferred)
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 356 staffed beds and a comprehensive emergency department that serves a wide range of patient populations from neonates to geriatrics. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified center and operates within a larger health system with multiple nearby locations. The emergency department supports a high daily census and is equipped with robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure quality patient care across all acuity levels.
