Job Details:

* IR experience is a plus
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
* At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
* 4 weekend shifts required per contract
* On-call required based on unit needs with a 30-minute response time; call shifts can average 10 shifts within a 6-week period, including one weekend of call
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of 3 scheduled cases with up to 9 cases per day including ER cases
* Patient diagnoses include ST elevated MIs, non-ST elevated MIs, chest pain, Takotsubo syndrome, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias including complete heart block, SVTs and ventricular rhythms, embolic and hemorrhagic strokes, and peripheral vascular diseases
* Procedures include LHC, RHC, coronary angiograms, coil and sphere embolizations for stroke, PTCA, angioplasty, intra-aortic balloon pump placement, electrophysiological studies and ablations, visceral angioplasty, and intravascular ultrasound
* Medications used include Nitro, Epinephrine, Neosynephrine, Norepinephrine, TPA, Lasix, and Isuprel
* Special equipment includes Acist injector for contrast, intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve gradient measurement system, Philips hemodynamic monitoring system, Penumbra thrombectomy device, Impella left ventricular assist device, intra-aortic balloon pump, and Rotoblator atherectomy device
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation
* 2 professional references required covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of initial submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Facility:

This acute care hospital is a beachside facility with 266 staffed beds, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The facility provides interdisciplinary support through respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation departments. The Cath Lab unit consists of 4 rooms and 4 beds, handling a variety of complex cardiac and vascular procedures in a well-equipped, specialty-focused environment.
