Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* Rotating 4x10-hour day shifts with shift times of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM; shifts vary as team stays until procedures are complete
* Shift rotation is organized in weekly blocks for consistency (e.g., all 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM shifts grouped into one week, followed by a week of first shifts)
* On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per every 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
* Holiday coverage required as needed
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities
* Daily caseload: 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 to 3 CVTs per lab; approximately 20 to 25 cases per day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to equal one shift
* 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
* Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/interventional scrub and monitor functions
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and South Carolina SCRQSA license
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Key skills required: accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, IVC filter placement, embolization, Impella insertion, PACS, Fuji Vidistar, and MAC Lab
* Special equipment used includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab, and Vidistar image storage
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
* Parking pass distributed at badge pickup at no cost; parking lots and garages available (garage clearance accommodates average SUV/truck)

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds offering a high-volume cardiac catheterization program. The facility operates 4 to 5 active cath labs daily and supports a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures including coronary and vascular angioplasty, shockwave therapy, temporary pacing, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies. The facility uses Epic for charting and maintains a collaborative, multi-tech lab environment.
