Job Details:

* 40-hour night shift position
* Weekend coverage required: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Position is primarily based in the Emergency Department
* Cover outpatient CT patient load as well as inpatient procedures and inpatient volumes as needed
* Outpatient CT department completes over 1,000 exams per month, averaging 40 exams per weekday
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* 1 year of experience required
* Level II Trauma Center experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT R, ARRT CT
* Equipment used includes Siemens 64-slice CT scanner in ED and 3 Toshiba 64-slice CT scanners in department and outpatient areas
* Skills required include 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, preparation and administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, PACS, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Additional skills include CT exams for abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, musculoskeletal trauma, vascular CTA, and more
* Travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates within 75 miles not accepted

Facility:

This Level 2 Trauma Hospital operates a high-volume imaging department with 4 CT scanners located across the emergency department, main department, and outpatient imaging center. The facility serves a wide range of patient populations and benefits from robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. With a daily census of 450 and approximately 150 visits per day, this facility provides a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced CT technologists.
