Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* 2 years of experience preferred; less experience will be considered
* Travel experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Required certifications (must be in hand at time of submission): ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Must be comfortable caring for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio experience: 1:4
* Skills include but are not limited to: triage, IV insertion and management, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, procedural sedation, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, ABG interpretation, IV vasopressors, emergency medications, intubation, splint application, phlebotomy, and management of psychiatric and behavioral health patients
* May float to like units within scope of practice based on facility needs

Facility:

This emergency department is a high-volume facility operating 38 beds and rooms with a daily census of approximately 135 patient visits. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility, equipped to handle a wide range of emergency and trauma cases across all patient age groups.
