RN L&D DAYS-MCR

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on various days of the week
* Every other weekend required per unit needs, subject to change
* On-call required: 1 shift every 6 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if the right fit and experience requirements are met
* May float to sister facilities within the North region per facility request, within Women and Infants service line only
* Patient ratio of 1:4, with 1-2 in labor and 3-4 in postpartum
* Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
* Scrub color provided by facility
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, STABLE
* Key skills include Labor & Delivery, Cesarean Section, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, fetal monitoring (internal and external), neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care, and couplet care
* Additional skills include antepartum care, triage of obstetrical patients, newborn assessment, breastfeeding/lactation support, wound care, IV management, and use of infusion pumps
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Unit contains 22 beds serving neonate and adult patient populations
* Orientation hours: 36
