Opportunity:

Labor and Delivery Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with a block schedule
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Holiday RTO allowed
* Patient ratio of 3:1 on nights
* 15-bed unit serving adult patients
* Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
* Experience in a high acuity, fast paced unit required
* Basic to intermediate fetal monitoring experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted with high acuity unit experience
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum care, antihypertensives, APGAR scores, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, cesarean section and recovery, epidural anesthesia, fetal heart rate monitoring (internal and external), magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, pre-eclampsia and eclampsia management, postpartum hemorrhage response, hemorrhage and shock management, IV insertion and maintenance, Foley catheter insertion and management, and obstetrical triage
* Will float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Locals within 75 miles not accepted

Facility:

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The unit utilizes self-scheduling and maintains a structured approach to patient care, handling between 100 and 200 facility births per month. The organization supports travelers with on-site orientation and a collaborative care environment.
