Open Position: RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 year of current experience in the discipline
* Patient ratios: 1:4 for PCU and 1:5 for med-surg across days, nights, and weekends
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system used
* 24 orientation hours required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, management of cardiac drips (no titration), management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, and telemetry unit monitoring
* Stepdown or ICU experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start; charge RNs and leads accepted as references
