Job Details:

* Day shift position working 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
* 2 years of sterile processing experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred and required
* On-call required
* CBSPD certification not required; BLS certification required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Must be comfortable floating to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* Required skills include: SPD instrument tracking, SPD sterilization equipment, and SPD decontamination equipment
* Additional skills include: Acute Hospital OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, biological indicators, bronchoscopes, case cart, chemical indicators, cleaning equipment, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, equipment documentation, fiber optics, flex sigmoidoscopes, general surgery, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), laparoscopic, neurology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, proper selection of wrapping materials, robotics, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/trays assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, urology, use of washers/sterilizers, and aseptic technique
* Patient diagnoses include: orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, eyes, urology, general surgery, podiatry, GI lab, ENT, and GYN
* Sterile processing decontamination and clean assembly areas located on 2 floors of the facility
* Facility serves adult and geriatric patient populations
* 14 operating rooms with a daily census of 35
* Up to 4 days of pre-approved time off available
* 40-hour orientation provided

Facility:

This facility is a full-service hospital offering a wide range of surgical and procedural services, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, GI lab, ENT, and GYN. The sterile processing department spans two floors and is equipped with modern decontamination and clean assembly areas to support a high volume of complex surgical cases. The facility maintains a 14-room surgical suite and is affiliated with a neighboring heart hospital, providing comprehensive inpatient and specialty care to the surrounding community.
