Job Details:
* 13-week assignment with an ASAP start date
* 4x10 shift schedule, day shifts with variable start times of either 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
* Weekend shifts required on a variable basis
* Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
* On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
* May float to like units within the facility if needed
* Block scheduling not available
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Must have Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer; pending license submissions accepted but will be held as screen
* All requested time off must be included at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS; ACLS and CNOR preferred
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 40 patients across 18 operating rooms
* Patient diagnoses include trauma (MVA, GSW, orthopedic fractures, neuro), cancer, pediatrics, ortho/neuro, ENT, urology, dental, eye, gynecology, day surgery, and vascular
* Special procedures include bariatric surgery, orthopedic (spine, total joints, revision), neurosurgery (craniotomy, spine), gynecology, ENT, breast, Ivor Lewis/Whipple, urology, and vascular
* Special equipment includes Xi Robot, Stealth navigation system, and Mazor Robot Spine system
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* References required: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
