Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* 5x8 evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
* 13-week assignment
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
* Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
* No on-call required
* May float to Pacific Campus as needed
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
* Local candidates not accepted
* Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Epic charting experience preferred; all documentation completed in SPM instrumentation management system
* Experience with trauma and implants preferred
* Experience in a children's hospital setting preferred
* Preferred equipment experience: pure processing sink inserts/flexi pumps
* Specializes in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and some pediatrics, as well as Urology, General, and GYN service lines
* Average surgical case volume of 65 and average daily tray volume of 1,200
* Must have supply knowledge, ability to pick cases, and be self-motivated and a strong team player
* Scrub color: any color permitted except reddish-orange
* Parking costs covered by facility
* 3-day orientation on day shift: Day 1 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Days 2 and 3 from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with transition to contracted shift on Day 4
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center offering a comprehensive range of services including outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency, and inpatient care across two campuses with a combined total of 571 staffed beds and 25 operating rooms. The sterile processing department is a teaching department with a highly motivated team that places quality as the top priority, specializing in neurological, orthopedic, robotic, and pediatric surgical services alongside a full range of standard surgical service lines.
