Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* No on-call responsibilities
* Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
* Float to other units possible
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Must be located outside a 100-mile radius of the facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required charting system experience: Epic
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac drips without titration, managing vasoactive drips without titration, management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care and management, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor
* Treat patients with diagnoses including heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Perform special procedures including emergent cardioversion and assist with central line placement
* Operate special equipment including BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and high-flow humidity therapy
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility capable of providing complex care to patients undergoing PCI and open-heart surgery. The unit operates as a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor with robust interdisciplinary support services and a focus on high-acuity cardiac and neurological patient populations.
