Opportunity:

RN - Pediatric CVICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour variable day and night shifts
* Weekend coverage required with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Self-scheduling
* Minimum 3 years of Pediatric CVICU experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license in hand required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Charting experience in Epic required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS
* Preferred experience: PICU, NICU
* Must be comfortable caring for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, central line care, ECMO, congenital heart disease/repair, post cardiac surgery care, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and ventricular assist device management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
* Floating to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius may be required if qualifications are met
* 2 references from most recent employer required
* Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility must be disclosed with dates worked, units worked, and manager names for rehire eligibility check
