Opportunity:
Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* 5x8 night shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends
* No on-call required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required with preference for 2 years of experience
* Required certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
* Charting system experience required
* Must be proficient with acute hospital OR procedures
* Must be experienced with cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
* Must be proficient in high-level disinfection (HLD)
* Must be experienced with use of washers and sterilizers
* Must be experienced with case cart procedures and proper selection of wrapping materials
* Must be experienced with sterilization wrapping procedures and sets/tray assembly
* Must be proficient in equipment documentation
* Must have experience in specialty areas including Ear/Nose/Throat, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology
* Must be experienced with biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing and monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of medical services to the surrounding community. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting and supports a wide variety of surgical specialties within its sterile processing department. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and sterile processing procedures across multiple service lines.
