Pharmacist Inpatient Days
Job Details:
* Inpatient/acute care pharmacist position working day shifts with variable shift times
* Block scheduling type with 8 weekend shifts per contract (4 weekends)
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travel accepted
* Charting system experience required; Epic experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Must be comfortable floating to like units within scope, as needed, with brief orientation provided
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 100 patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PharmD, RPh, and Kansas State license all must be in hand at time of submission
* Required skills include: anticoagulation therapy, high-alert medications, IV push medications, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, Pyxis, renal dosing, sterile technique, therapeutic medication monitoring, and Warfarin dosing
Facility:
This inpatient facility serves a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics with a daily census of 100 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and transportation. The organization utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a collaborative care environment across multiple departments.
