Opportunity:
Med Surg Float Team RN - 12 Hr NOCS
Job Details:
* 13-week contract assignment
* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum of 36, up to 48; overtime after 48 hours)
* Guaranteed hours may vary during orientation week and holidays when unit is closed
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* No on-call or callback requirements
* Float team position rotating within skillset to observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care units
* Facility will attempt to keep traveler in 1-2 like units but floating to other units is possible
* Patient ratios: Day shift 1:4, PM shift 1:4 or 1:5, NOC shift 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Active RN or Compact License, NIHSS (preferred at submission; must be completed prior to end of orientation at no cost to traveler)
* Minimum 1-2+ years of general Med/Surg experience required
* Must have experience with venipuncture, Cardizem, ports, Foley/straight catheterization, and stable drips
* Epic charting experience strongly preferred within the past 2 years
* Previous travel experience strongly preferred
* Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Scrub colors: No bright colors or character prints
* Must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
