Open Position: RN - Psych

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2936.00

Opportunity:

Inpatient Psych RN - 8 hr shifts

Job Details:

* 13-week contract position
* 8-hour night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with potential for some 12-hour shifts
* Guaranteed 72 hours per pay period (9 days per 2 weeks), except during holidays when unit is closed
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* No on-call or call back requirements
* No float requirements
* Work on Adult Unit serving patients ages 18 and older with acute mental health illness and alcohol detox
* Admissions to free-standing psychiatric inpatient services including regular wing and intensive care unit
* Perform intake assessments as floor nurse within the freestanding ED
* RN patient ratio: 1:6 for days/evenings, 1:10 for night shift
* Minimum 2-5+ years of experience required; ED with psych experience or psych RN background accepted
* 1-3+ years of adult psychiatric nursing experience preferred
* Epic charting experience required within the past 2 years
* Required certifications: Active WI RN or Compact license, AHA BLS, CPI (required - if not on hand, facility can sign traveler up at traveler expense)
* NIHSS certification preferred at submission; required prior to end of orientation (provided through facility's Apex Innovations at no charge to traveler)
* Scrub colors: Any solid color, no specific requirements
* Must be flexible with orientation schedule; orientation conducted during the week even for weekend positions
* Ideal candidate is a hard worker with strong time management, resilience, adaptability to change, and social skills
* Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health
* Required education: High School Diploma; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred

This facility is a free-standing psychiatric inpatient center offering specialized mental health services to adults ages 18 and older. The facility operates both a regular inpatient wing and an intensive care unit, providing comprehensive care for patients experiencing acute mental health conditions and alcohol detox. The center maintains a dedicated emergency department and prioritizes structured, high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive clinical environment.
