Opportunity:
Acute Care Physical Therapy
Job Details:
* Tuesday through Saturday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (5x8 shifts)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Treat a variety of diagnoses including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, CABG, general surgery, fractures, and general medical cases
* Perform evaluations, reassessments, and develop plans of care and short-term goals
* Provide gait training using assistive devices including crutches, gait belt, and standard walker
* Conduct AROM/AAROM/PROM assessments and strength testing
* Monitor vital signs, assess pain, and evaluate skin integrity
* Provide patient and family education including home exercise programs
* Experience required in: Acute Care, Geriatrics, ICU, ER, Medical Surgical, and Orthopedics
* Experience required with conditions including COPD, CHF, CABG, myocardial infarction, hip fractures, knee injuries/tendinopathy, and post-stroke rehabilitation
* Proficiency with hospital beds, specialty beds, supplemental oxygen delivery, and call lights
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy blue
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS
* Required license: California PT license
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission

This is a small, community-based acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds. The facility offers a full range of services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. The organization provides comprehensive care across multiple departments including emergency, ICU, medical surgical, and orthopedics, serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
