Job Details:
* Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
* Telemetry competency required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system; prior experience preferred
* Royal Blue scrubs required
* No parking cost
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include Diabetes, HTN, CAD, Seizure, CVA, TIA, and CRD
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submission and approval is based on facility needs

This acute care hospital is a Level III Trauma Center with 286 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive range of medical services to its patient community. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and maintains a well-equipped medical-surgical and telemetry unit with a daily census of 36 patients across 43 beds.
