Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient population includes infants through geriatrics with primary focus on adult patients, including work with pediatric intubated patients
* Trauma experience required; pulmonary function testing (spirometry) preferred
* Level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified facility with a level 3 NICU serving as regional transport resource
* Responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, arterial blood gases, capillary blood gases, and draws from lines
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, RRT, GA state license
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Preferred equipment experience: Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, Viasys Avea; also uses Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Slate Gray
* Scheduling type: Variable; every other weekend required with 5 weekend days out of a six-week schedule
* Float required within facility and to sister campus as needed
* No on-call requirements
* 48 orientation hours required
* Holiday coverage expected: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* No RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site, and no RTO during orientation week

This facility is a level 2 trauma center that is also interventional stroke certified and operates a level 3 NICU that serves as a regional transport resource. The facility offers comprehensive respiratory services and rapid response team support, utilizing advanced systems and equipment to deliver high-quality care across a wide range of patient populations from infants through geriatrics. The facility emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains high standards for clinical excellence.
