Job Details:
* 1:1 patient ratio on all shifts
* One weekend shift required per month (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday)
* On-call required: one shift per week
* 40 orientation hours
* No block scheduling available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Locals within 50-mile radius not accepted
* Requested time off greater than 7 days requires management approval
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* EPIC charting experience required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Treats patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
* Scrub experience preferred; telemetry experience preferred
* Required skills include: General OR, GYN, Robotics, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Gastrointestinal robotic surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries), Fire Safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia, Electrosurgical units, Infection control, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Specialty procedure areas include: Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neuro/Spine, Orthopedic, General, GYN, DaVinci Robotic, ENT/Dental/Plastics/Maxillofacial, Cystoscopy/Urology, and Pediatrics
Facility:
This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and the largest acute care hospital in the Toledo metropolitan area, operating with 22 OR rooms. The facility is a Magnet and teaching hospital offering a wide range of advanced surgical specialties including cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and pediatrics. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
