Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Seasonal travel position working 3:30 PM to 4:00 AM shifts
* Float between multiple PACU units including Main/Surgical Robotics and Orthopedic Surgery Center
* Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients potentially having up to 3 at a time
* Staffed per ASPAN standards
* Night shift consists of 2 RNs on duty
* Work with GE Monitors and Meditech EMR system
* Pre-op and recovery care for any patient receiving anesthesia
* High neuro volume including stroke patients, interventional radiology, TAVRs, and critical care overflow
* Perform procedures across a wide range of surgical specialties including spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases
* Critical care experience and/or PACU experience required
* Required certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Stroke care experience preferred
* Flexible and outgoing personality preferred

Facility:

This facility operates multiple PACU units across three locations including a Main unit with 27 bays, a Surgical Robotics unit with 12 bays, and an Orthopedic Surgery Center with 20 bays, totaling 59 combined Pre-Op and PACU bays. The unit employs approximately 70 staff members including pre-admit clinic personnel and maintains a high employee satisfaction rate of 91%. The facility handles a diverse and high-volume surgical caseload and is equipped with modern GE monitoring technology.
