Job Details:

* Work 4x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:6-7; staffing plan supports 1:6 normal ratios with flex to 1:7 in the event of an unplanned absence
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required on a PRN basis for low census
* Floating required to med/surg units to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Free parking available
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
* All patients eligible for telemetry monitoring conducted by monitor techs in a central location
* Telemedicine equipment used; instruction will be provided
* Required skills include Med/Surg, Telemetry, Insulin, and Rapid Response
* Additional skills include blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, heparin management, PCA, and IV management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* Previous charge experience preferred

This facility is a 34-bed community hospital offering comprehensive medical-surgical care with a strong interdisciplinary support system. The unit operates as a 12-bed general medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities managed centrally by monitor technicians. The facility is equipped with modern telemedicine technology and supports a wide range of adult medical-surgical diagnoses, providing staff with access to extensive support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
