Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts, including weekdays and weekends
* Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity with possible overflow patients requiring step-down level of care
* Must have ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience
* Must be experienced in direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR
* Must be experienced in pressure monitoring and Swan-Ganz management
* Must be experienced in Impella monitoring and CRRT
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - must be through American Heart Association (AHA)
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs not provided
* Blocked schedules will be considered
* May occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit
* Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Key skills required include: arterial line management, cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, ventilator management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, IABP, post cardiac surgery care directly from OR, CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, CVA/acute stroke management, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management
* Special equipment: Impella CP and IABP
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy

Facility:

This facility is home to a 10-bed Cardiac Care Unit that primarily cares for cardiothoracic surgery patients, including CABGs, open valve replacements, thoracotomies, carotid endarterectomies, and more. The unit also provides care for complicated cardiac cath lab patients, medical cardiology patients, STEMIs, cardiogenic shock patients, and post-code patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient care across a range of complex cardiac conditions.
